Jared Thomas Goff was born on October 14, 1994 in Novato, California. He attended Marin Catholic High School where he played football and basketball and was a standout athlete. He was named California Mr. Football by Cal-Hi Sports after leading his high school team to a state championship. He then went on to play college football at the University of California Berkeley where he became the first freshman to start at quarterback in school history. During his college career, he set numerous school records and was an All-Pac 12 honorable mention selection in 2014 and 2015. After his college career, Goff was selected by the Los Angeles Rams as the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Goffs professional career began with a rocky start as he struggled during his rookie season with the Rams, but showed signs of promise in 2017 when he led the team to its first playoff appearance since 2004 and completed 62 percent of his passes for 3,804 yards and 28 touchdowns with just seven interceptions. He followed up that success with an even better 2018 season when he threw for 4,688 yards and 32 touchdowns while leading the Rams to Super Bowl LIII where they lost to the New England Patriots 13-3. In 2019, Goff led the Rams back into the playoffs with 4,638 passing yards and 22 touchdowns before being eliminated by Green Bay Packers in the NFC Divisional Round of playoffs.

Malibu Most Wanted is a 2003 comedy film directed by John Whitesell and starring Jamie Kennedy as lead character Brad ‘B-Rad’ Gluckman. The film follows Brad who is a white wannabe gangster rapper from Malibu who tries to win respect from his peers by pretending to be from South Central Los Angeles and speaking with a rap accent. When his father’s political campaign takes off, Brad’s antics become increasingly embarrassing for him so he goes undercover as an African American man from South Central LA in order to gain street credibility and fit into his new environment without anyone knowing who he really is. For his senior season of 2016 Goff threw 37 touchdowns versus 7 interceptions while throwing for 4,719 yards as Cal posted a 85 record which earned him another first-team All Pac 12 honor along with being named Pac 12 Offensive Player of the Year and an invitation to play in the Senior Bowl where he would be named MVP of that game .

Goff declared himself eligible for the 2016 NFL Draft after his junior year at California where he was projected as a high round selection in numerous mock drafts and rated as one of the top quarterback prospects by analysts heading into that draft class alongside future teammate Carson Wentz who went second overall that year .
